PGLA suture is a synthetic absorbable suture that is composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The suture is coated with calcium stearate and 30:70 poly(glycolide-co-L-lactide). PGLA sutures have a high tensile strength throughout the critical wound healing period. PGLA sutures are completely resorbed between 90 and 100 days. All sutures are packaged 12 units per package.
